Atri, Italy

We traveled for 22 hours, missed a flight, but caught the bus to Pescara, Italy where we were to be picked up. Thankfully we didn't get stopped at Italian customs in Rome. We landed at 5 pm, the luggage got out at around 5:40 and we jumped on the bus at 5:55, leaving for Pescara at 6 pm.
Yeah!

We slept in until 1 pm as we'd been traveling so long and not really sleeping. Our place here is heaven and I thank, my friends, for offering it to us. It is a wonderful, friendly and safe little town that we are in. No feelings of worry for safety, robbing etc.

Today we went out late, and shopped for groceries as well as getting the internet stick you need to bring internet into your house, here. I also ran into some issues, as my power cable for my laptop, doesn't seem to be charging. We checked into getting that looked at, but there are no MAC dealers here, so we will go to Pescara on Friday to check that out. What a drag! I sure hope it's only the power cord that is the issue and not the port or laptop. Anyway, not a huge worry, just inconvenient.

Tonight we are drinking wine that we bought at the grocery store, and eating some yummy Italian cheese. We will venture out more fully, tomorrow as we are still pretty tired from the trip. All our body parts seem to be working well though, so that's good.

Love to everyone. Will post some pics in a minute.
Mom and me, leaving Toronto.............yee ha.
Mom and me in the airport in Frankfurt, waiting for our flight to Rome, that we missed. Gorgeous bar in this airport.

One of the bedrooms in our beautiful place in Atri.
The stairs leading down to the main floor in our place. Everything is white marble and amazing.
Mom and me, sitting at our place in Atri, after 22 hours of travel, in our pyjamas, drinking vodka that Rachel and Mike gave me, from little bottles. It is very late now, so no stores open. Just our bodies complaining and our hearts thrilled we're here.

Second bedroom in Atri, and a view from one of the streets we walked today.
