Sihanoukville, Cambodia (Dec. 18, 2014)

Well, I made it to Sihanoukville without issue. I arrived at the One Stop Hostel at around 2:45 pm. I met Stella right away and we started to have a great party not soon after my arrival. We walked down to the beach where we met Laure-Elie and her friend, on the beach. We had a little chat, then met some sweet Americans further down the beach. We sat and had a couple of drinks for Happy Hour, along with some yummy squid on the half shell. 10 of them were $2 US. The drinks for Happy Hour were $1 US. What a deal and how much fun.

My bus, which was great.

Dancing for the sunset

By the end of our time at the beach bar, I had been swimming two times in my bra and panties, and had drank a few cocktails. What a great first day here. I don’t think anyone even bothered about my swimming attire, except Stella, who kept taking pictures. I don’t care, it was amazing to swim in the ocean, and the temperature was so great, about 30 degrees.

More news tomorrow. We might join Laure-Elie and her friend, tomorrow to go to an island to chill for the day. That sound good to me…..lol.

  1. Sounds like so much fun! Nice to see pix of the beautiful beach scenes, the people, sunset & u looking indecently happy! Seems u got your bathing suit on at some point anyway! U will benefit from some sleep & an r'n'r day following your trip & all that enthusiastic enjoyment. It's -15 C w a windchill of -25 here in Winnipeg today. But it's sunny! Going to do a little Xmas shopping today w RR. Have a 2:30 client to get back for. Then at 6:30 going out w tango friends Ellen & Bob for dinner & an MTC play called "The Devil's Music", about Bessie Smith the blues singer. There'll be live music throughout so it should be very enjoyable. Have a wonderful sleep & a great day following. Love always, Mom
